Attend the 2012 Type-A Parent Conference On Us! {Conference Pass Giveaway}

Type-A Parent Conference

Three years ago, I was invited to speak at my first blogging conference, the 2009 Type-A Mom Conference. I had spoken at conferences before related to the e-learning position I had at the time, but had never spoken at a social media conference. When Kelby Carr e-mailed me asking if I was interested in speaking, I was actually on a plane en route to a family vacation in Puerto Rico. I remember reading the e-mail on my phone once we landed and immediately getting excited; though it was the first year for the Type-A Conference, I had already seen what a great community Kelby had created.

As I expected, the conference was great. The sessions provided lots of great information and the fact that there were less attendees than at conferences such as BlogHer, meant you could get to know everyone better. I wasn’t able to attend again in 2010, but returned to the conference, now called the Type-A Parent Conference, last year. The intimate factor was still there, and the content still excellent.

On a side note, you don’t have to be a parent to attend. The content is great for everyone and all blogging niches. As described by the organizers, the topics will include  “...power networking, branding, blogging, finding your voice, and turning your passion for blogging into a real paycheck.”

type-a parent conference This year, I’m happy to announce that Ella Media is a conference partner of the Type-A Parent Conference! I was able to meet face to face with people that understood what blogging was about without my having explain it.

I have not attended a blog conference as of yet and I’ve been blogging for several years! Would love to go to attend so I can learn and grow as a blogger! I could use some blogger motivation too!

I have learned many things when going to conferences and they also have helped me immensely with networking which has helped my blog grow and to get social media jobs that I would have not gotten otherwise. Meeting face to face is extremely important.
Thanks for the opportunity, Melanie! Type-A Conference is definitely on my list this year!

This would be my first time attending a blogger conference.

I’ve never attended a conference on blogging. I am hoping to attend the Type-A parent conference, especially since it fits me to a “T” or rather “A” – my blog tag line is “just a little type a”.

I have attended conferences on other subjects for work. The information received and networking opportunities are invaluable.

I’ve only been to Bloggy Boot Camp but never to a big conference. I loved having the opportunity to hear wonderful speakers and then being able to ask the questions in person. I learned a lot of great takeaways that I had not known,like as far as the way my blog looks and best practices for social media use. I learned the best times to post & Tweet and FB and I learned how very important really engaging with your community is. I would LOVE to go to Type-A but I really need this pass for that to happen. I would so love to meet all my friends who live in my computer in person!
